The purpose of this project was to create a persuasive media campaign to encourage and empower girls to take part in STEM subjects. It aims to prove to girls that they are just as able as boys to succeed in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. Currently, not enough women work in STEM, it is therefore necessary to change the perceptions that this industry is just for men.
This is a sample set of cards for a ‘Top Trumps’ style game, aimed at girls aged 9 to 13. Each card shows the profile of a woman who has made a difference to the world within her field. These cards could be used in schools or at home as a game or as the basis for discussion.
